![Coffee. Construction. Community. Culture. ☕🏗️
Our “Coffee & Construction”event at Golden Cup Coffee was exactly what construction community engagement around a project like the 5/14 Memorial & Healing Center should look like.
Contractors, service firms, consultants and community stakeholders came together to TALK — openly and honestly — about the project, the opportunities, the needs and the gaps. We didn’t need huge numbers but small, intimate conversations that can turn into contracts.
We talked insurance. Capacity. Access. Readiness. Professional services. Construction opportunities. Community involvement. And the things businesses actually need to know if they want to be prepared to participate when opportunities become available.
And we did it while activating and supporting an MBE-owned space right on Jefferson Avenue.💪🏾
The turnout was amazing, but more importantly, the conversations were productive. We listened. We shared information. We identified barriers. And we’re taking what we heard back to the project team as we continue preparing for the construction of the Memorial & Healing Center.
Huge shoutout to my team at @buffaloconstruct for continuing to trust me to get out into the community, build relationships and deliver.
This is what I mean when I say:
Construction. Consulting. Community. Culture.™
Stay tapped in. This is only the beginning.
